Sandra & Ken Osbourne - Committee members. They agreed to join the committee and were voted in by all members present at the meeting on 19/2/2018.

It saddens us all to announce the death of our much loved and respected Chair, JOYCE FULLER. She died suddenly at home and her funeral took place at Seaton Delaval Methodist Church at 2pm. on Monday 12th. February 2018.   

Jim Wyness will take over her duties and will act as Chairman until a formal vote at this years A.G.M.

Another great social event at MARIO's, we were treated very well by the staff and the food was excellent  


ASDA Presents cheque

Diane Dinning of ASDA Blyth presented our group with a cheque after we came first in their "Green token appeal".

We as a group are very involved in our local community and it is nice to know that the community supports us.

Social outreach Morpeth

Our forth social out reach of 2018 was to Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth. We like to show everyone that there is live after stroke.  We would also like to thank the Morpeth Larder for making us very welcome


Stroke awareness

We held a "Know your Blood Pressure" morning in the foyer of the Briardale community centre. Local reponse was quite slow but those who did inquire seems well saticfied with the knowledge and literature on hand. This is part of our community outreach project 



Group members re-visited the museum by popular request. We had a good afternoon out and the weather stayed nice and sunny for us



Our Acting Chairman colleected a £100 cheque at Blyth Masonic lodge. We thank them for their generosity and acknowledge that Masonic lodges of UK are the second biggest charity supporter after the National Lottery.



Our second group outing this year. The gardens were great,lunch was really enjoyed and the weather was fabulous. As a group we like the outreach side of our role in society and we answered question and gave out leaflets to all who requested them increasing stroke awareness in the wider  community
