First outreach of 2017

To continue our outreach program and the six outreach events of last year, our first outreach talkof 2017 was given today at North Tyneside disability forum at Shiremoor. The talk was well received and lots of questions answered


Stroke awareness 3.5.17

We held a "Know your blood pressure" event at Briadale Community centre. Giving the local community imformation and advice and taking their blood pressure. This is part of our community outreach project.


Buckingham Palace Garden Party

Gloria and Jim were invited to the garden party in recognition of the community volunteer work and fund raising they carry out and they will proudly represent our group


Stroke Assoc. Team Valley

Our secretary in he role as northEast Stroke Ambassador is attending a volunteer event at the Regional Head quarters of the Stroke Assoc. at Team Valley as part of our outreach project


Group Lunch

The staff at MARIO's did us proud. Great time, great food and good company. 


Azure garden centre

Thank you to all who made our first monthly outreach project to the azure garden centre a sucess

This will be called the firstTuesday from here on 


Sunderland Glass Centre

A great outing, very interesting and entertaining tour

Our second Tuesday Club meeting as part of the outreach prgram. Our thanks to all involved


Kirkley Hall

Our second outing was realy enjoyed by our members. The small zoo made it easier for those of us who are a bit wobbly and the tour guide was great.

Luch at the Oranery was very tastey


Ersdon Plant Centre

Our third Tuesday club was at Ersdon Plant Centre.

South Shields

Our third outing this year started with a visit the Barbour factory outlet at Jarrow. the company has been kind enough to support our group for some years now at it was delightful to finally meet some of the staff

From ther we made our way to "Word" in South Shields. for a quick lunch and a look around



Royal Quays

Our forth Tuesday Club meeting this year was at the North Shields outlet centre

Hieghley gate

Fifth in our outreach "first Tuesday" project this year was to the Hieghey Gate garden complex at Morpeth' A good social afteroon with plenty of interaction

Azure garden centre

The sixth of our "First Tuesday" outreach events with a good turn out of members interacting with the staff and visitors. We are here to shout "there is life after Stroke"


Our Christmas lunch

A great afternoon and a lot of possitive feedback from member.         The Ridley Arms at Stannington really did us proud
